The weather smiled on us again at the Family Camp at Phillip Island and there were plenty of happy faces over the weekend.
From the moment everyone arrived there was a large choice of activities to keep parents and children occupied, such as archery, canoeing, braving the high ropes or even relaxing by the pool.
While parents enjoyed afternoon tea, their children remained at the camp and were visited by Steve from Wheelchair Sports Victoria. He arranged for them all to play wheelchair basketball and rugby, which was much fun.
The highlight of the weekend however, was the trip to the Penguin Parade. We were educated about the habits of these very cute animals by one of the park rangers and watched in fasciantion as they came ashore and made their way up the beach.
Thank you to our volunteers for doing such a wonderful job over the weekend and to everyone who participated in such an enjoyable and fun weekend
